Contact for data protection
For privacy questions relating to ExploreKuching.com, email [email protected] . You can also visit our contact page.
These notes describe the currently integrated functions of the travel portal. We do not offer a user account, contact form, comment function or newsletter registration on the website.
Provision of the website by Cloudflare
The website is provided via Cloudflare Pages. When accessed, the technical infrastructure processes connection and request data, such as IP address, requested URL, time and browser information. This enables the delivery of content, error analysis and protection against misuse.
The website is provided and secured on the basis of our legitimate interest in a functional and secure offer, insofar as Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f GDPR is applicable. Cloudflare operates a globally distributed infrastructure; Data can also be processed outside the EU or EEA. Information about Cloudflare's processing and transfer mechanisms is available in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
GetYourGuide widgets
Activity widgets from GetYourGuide are integrated into pages with tour offers. The GetYourGuide integration and partner script is automatically loaded there. This will connect your browser to GetYourGuide, even if you haven't clicked a booking button yet.
GetYourGuide receives technically necessary request data, such as your IP address, browser information and information about the page accessed. The partner script is also used to display offers and affiliate assignment. The service may use cookies or similar methods. Details about purposes, legal basis, storage period, recipients and your rights GetYourGuide in its data protection information.
The widget script is not loaded on these four information pages and on hotel-only pages unless a tour widget is integrated there.
Agoda and affiliate links
Our Agoda hotel offers are external links. Only when you follow such a link will you access Agoda. The locally stored hotel images are delivered from our website.
GetYourGuide and Agoda links contain a partner ID; GetYourGuide links may additionally contain an identifier of the referring content page. This information enables the allocation of brokered bookings. The identifiers identify our portal or the referring page and are not a personal visitor ID assigned by us.
After switching to the platform, its data processing applies. Further information: Agoda Privacy Policy and ours Affiliate disclosure.
Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-1HGXFPV7JY) to measure page visits and use of the site. Google may process page and device information and store analytics cookies to recognise a browser. Google Ireland Limited provides the service in the European Economic Area; processing outside the EEA may occur.
The Google tag is blocked until you allow analytics. Rejecting leaves it blocked. Google advertising storage, ad user data, ad personalisation and Google signals are disabled in this integration. You can change or withdraw your choice using “Analytics settings” in the footer. Withdrawal stops the tag and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies on this domain; it does not automatically erase data already collected.
Cookie preferences
We store your analytics choice and its date in local storage for up to 180 days, so the same choice applies across pages and languages on this domain. This preference stores no analytics visitor ID. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page.
This choice covers Google Analytics only. GetYourGuide widgets load separately as described above and may use their own cookies or similar methods. No Meta Pixel is integrated. Browser controls can also limit cookies and external content.
Budget calculator, maps and fonts
The budget calculator processes your entries exclusively in the browser. Your entries are not sent to us or stored in a website database. When reloading, the values entered are lost.
Map links open Google Maps as an external website; We do not include a Google map as an iframe on the editorial pages. The font design uses system fonts and does not load Google Fonts. Images outside of the tour widgets are locally saved files.
If you write us an email
We process your email address, the content of your message and the information you voluntarily sent in order to process your request. Please limit your message to the necessary information.
Depending on the content, this is done to process a request in accordance with Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR or due to our legitimate interest in communication in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Messages are retained for as long as they are needed for processing and, if applicable, legal retention requirements.
Your rights
As long as the legal requirements are met, you have in particular rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can revoke your consent in the future. You can also complain to a responsible data protection supervisory authority.
For inquiries about processing through our portal, you can reach us via [email protected]. If it concerns your booking data on a partner platform, you can also contact the data protection contact listed there directly.
Changes to these notes
If the services or functions used change, we will adapt this page. The date stated above indicates the status of this notice. Further use of the website does not replace consent.
