Watching instead of a day at the beach
According to the offer, the route leads through wetlands on the Santubong and Salak rivers. The focus is on riparian vegetation, birds and the search for wild animals. Four hours is the total time; There is no fixed time for boating only.
A separate island day
The boat journey is followed by island time and the described visit to the shelter. Snorkeling is optional by arrangement and weather. According to the organizer, this includes transfers, boat, landing/entrance and protection fee, packed lunch and water.
City backdrop instead of searching for wild animals
In the approximately six-hour combination, around 90 minutes of river travel are only part of the program. Choose it if city sightseeing and views from the water are your goal. It is not a replacement for a Satang beach day.

For animal observation: nature before schedule
At Santubong the focus is on the river landscape. Wild animals may or may not appear. Choose this trip if you would also like to enjoy the landscape without a specific sighting.
For Satang: the season decides
The organizer describes the Satang tour for April to October. The approach leads to the sea; Weather and water conditions influence the implementation. Snorkeling is optional and must be agreed upon in advance. A visit to the sanctuary does not guarantee a turtle sighting.
For the evening: city or mangroves?

Our choice for three or four days
For the first short stay we would choose a water experience: Santubong as a nature trip or the city cruise as part of your city day. Satang is your own choice for an island day and replaces another excursion. Additionally, booking all three tours would make the three or four day plan heavily focused on the water.

- The city pier and the pickup point for a nature tour are not automatically the same location.
- Plan for sun protection and dry storage for sea and island time.
